Diving Silfra Day Tour - DIVE01
Silfra crack, Thingvellir Lake, National Park Thingvellir, Iceland. The dive between the continents!
A day of diving in Silfra, Iceland, a memory you will want to take home!
The tour begins when we will pick you up from your hotel in the Reykjavik area and drive about 45 minutes to Thingvellir National Park.
Your guide will point out interesting facts about the history and geology of the park. We will stop at certain spots on the way to show you some stunning views over the National Park.
Usually we pick our divers up at around 8am and they’ll be back in Reykjavik at around 4pm. In the winter time this schedule will be delayed by one hour to make the most of the day light.
When we arrive at the dive site we will gear up, walk to the platform, where your divemaster will give you a briefing on the first dive. We’ll take a few steps down the ladder and make contact to the worlds clearest water to dive in. Take a sip!
The slight current formed by the underground wells will make our dive out the crack an easy one. Your divemaster will lead the dive and take photos and videos. If you are interested you can purchase a DVD of the videos and high resolution photos after the tour.
After this dive we’ll take about an hour break and have some hot coffee and cookies.
The second dive will lead us into the Silfra Lagoon and eventually the little crack, depending on divers skills and gusto.
