This is a tour that combines two of Iceland's natural highlights, hot springs and glaciers.

This tour combines two of Iceland’s natural highlights hot springs and glaciers and now in addition the sighting of the notorious Eyjafjallajökull Volcano. The tour starts with the Hengill volcanic geothermal area, only a 45 min. drive from Reykjavík and there we take a 2-3 hour walk.  Located at the foot of the old volcanic cone of Hengill, this hiking trail passes a series of beautiful hot springs en route to the Reykjadalur valley where one can enjoy a bath in a beautiful warm stream. The tour then continues by car towards the volcano and its enormoues ash cloud. Driving through the area south of the Eyjafjallajökull Volcano where the farms have been most affected by the eruption is a unique experience and a glacier walk where you discover a wonderland of ice sculptures, ridges and deep crevasses on the now blackened by ash ice is out of this world. A tour that offers both magnificent nature and scenery.

Minimum Age : 10 yrs.
Included : Transport, guiding services, ice gear and all necessary safety equipment.
Note : Bring warm clothing, rain gear, hiking shoes, bathing suit, towel and lunch (possible to buy en route). Boots can be rented and we lend out rain coats to those who need.
Duration : 10 to11 hours in total, 4 - 5 hours hike.
