This tour includes two dives. In the winter, however, if the outside temperature drops below 0°C, we conduct only one extended (40-45 minute) dive for the safety and comfort of our divers. Your dive will take about 30-40 minutes with a maximum depth of 18 meters. In winter when conditions fall below freezing we will conduct a 60-80 minute dive.
If you have friends or family who are not certified divers but would also like to experience Silfra, they would be very welcome to join the Snorkelling Silfra Day Tour.
Note: If you have never dived in a dry suit before, we strongly recommend that you prepare for this tour with a dry suit course. You will learn how to safely and confidently dive in a dry suit and thus enjoy diving in Silfra even more. You will also receive a PADI Dry Suit Specialty Certificate, which is an internationally recognised certification and often a requirement for diving in challenging cold-water dive sites elsewhere in the world.
